India has set ambitious targets to increase the share of renewable energy (RE) in its energy mix. Mankind is responding with tremendous efforts to capture and cultivate renewable resources amidst the grim predictions of energy supply and consumption. In order to have sustainable and cleaner Environment, we need to look into renewable natural resources. Relationships between these resources and the energy they can produce are inherently geographic.
We are also searching for cleaner, smarter, and more conscientious methods of energy production, transmission, and distribution. Geospatial Technology is not only improving the way we produce and deliver energy, it is changing the way we view our earth’s resources. This session of Spatial Talk series will deliberate on how Geospatial Tech is unleashing the Renewable Energy by understanding the potential sites that are being mapped spatially to tap the renewable resources and put it to use for the betterment of the society and smart cities
